With so many people relying on the BB messenger service to communicate accross the globe, this second disruption is a huge dent in their image. Customers who downloaded BlackBerry Messenger versions 5.0.0.55 and 5.0.0.56 since Dec. 14 should download the new version, RIM said.

But it seems not enough to effect their loyalty to the service. RIM may not be so lucky if they continue to have outages. At this point all will be forgotten in a couple of days but RIM should be warned not to allow this to happen again.

Well Well well, I thought it was impossible. I thought that no one would do it. Even I, a full blown cell phone nerd who has done some crazy tricks with his Iphone thought it couldn’t happen. Well it has, the invinsible armour of the I Phone has just been broken. Even if it was only publicly known for 24hrs (Its been fixed), this definately goes down in the history books. One of the reasons that droves of consumers switched to Apple products to begin with (forget about the looks), is that they are kinda of immune to hacks, viruses and spyware. When RIM had one of its Blackberry lines loaded with spyware from one of its carriers ( YES big brother is watching you), no body batted an eye. But now Apple is having issues. This goes in to a deeper discusion of how safe is it to have all your personal stuff and your life depened on our litttle nifty PDA’s.Your comments on this will be greatly appreciated..

By the tittle this may sound like we are about to start a rampage of Palm bashing but we’re not. As many die hard Palm fans will tell you, they live and die by their Treos (Treo 650, Treo 680, Treo 750, Treo 755).I have a friend who has consistantly updated his Treo after every new release. For a while there, every company was releasing all these sleek new gadget filled devices and Palm was stuck. Even the investers in the stock market began to take notice and the stock price tanked. My poor friend was left holding on to his outdated Treo and kept cursing the very company he so vigoursly defended time after time.

Low and behold Palm anounces the Palm Pre. My friend litterally started foaming and drowling. Was he finally going to be vindicated for his die hard loyalty. Or was this just a shot in the dark, has Palm past its prime, is this a frivolous attempt by them to take a shot at the new hot shot ( The Apple IPhone)
